[Pioneer Initiative] “Nordic–Tropic Timber Transition Platform” - SCG Cement-Building Materials

“Nordic–Tropic Timber Transition Platform” presented by SCG Cement-Building Materials. This initiative aims to develop low-carbon construction ecosystems between Sweden and Thailand by combining Nordic engineered wood know-how with Thailand’s fast-growing tropical bio-based resources and manufacturing capability. The project focuses on hybrid construction approaches using engineered timber solutions such as Eucalyptus LVL together with other fast-growing bio-based materials and sustainable building systems adaptable to both tropical and cold-climate regions. The collaboration roadmap consists of three phases: Phase 1 – Design, Validation & Foundation Development Phase 2 – Pilot Projects & Business Matching Phase 3 – Ecosystem Expansion & Commercial Scale-Up Through ecosystem development, innovation platforms, pilot projects, and long-term collaboration, the initiative also aims to support future business opportunities, investment partnerships, and low-carbon industry development between Sweden and Thailand. . โครงการนี้มุ่งพัฒนาระบบนิเวศการก่อสร้างคาร์บอนต่ำระหว่างประเทศไทยและสวีเดน โดยผสานองค์ความรู้ด้าน Nordic Engineered Wood และระบบก่อสร้างจากสวีเดน เข้ากับศักยภาพของประเทศไทยด้านไม้โตเร็วเขตร้อน ทรัพยากรชีวภาพ และความสามารถด้านอุตสาหกรรมการผลิต โครงการมุ่งเน้นการพัฒนาแนวทาง Hybrid Construction โดยใช้วัสดุไม้วิศวกรรม เช่น Eucalyptus LVL ร่วมกับวัสดุชีวภาพจากไม้โตเร็วและระบบก่อสร้างยั่งยืน ที่สามารถปรับใช้ได้ทั้งในภูมิอากาศเขตร้อนและภูมิภาคเขตหนาว Roadmap ความร่วมมือประกอบด้วย 3 ระยะ: Phase 1 – Design, Validation & Foundation Development Phase 2 – Pilot Projects & Business Matching Phase 3 – Ecosystem Expansion & Commercial Scale-Up ผ่านการพัฒนา Ecosystem, Innovation Platform, Pilot Projects และความร่วมมือระยะยาว โครงการยังมุ่งสนับสนุนโอกาสทางธุรกิจ ความร่วมมือด้านการลงทุน และการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมคาร์บอนต่ำแห่งอนาคตร่วมกันระหว่างประเทศไทยและสวีเดน
