Living in NYC Is Costing You More Than You Realize
I've lived in New York City long enough to know it's exhausting — but I never knew exactly WHY. So I built an app that tracks my biometrics in real time: heart rate, cortisol, and a composite "energy score" I measure throughout my day. This short film — The Invisible Tax — is the result. Every siren, every packed subway car, every construction zone — I measured it. The data reveals something most New Yorkers feel but can't name: the city is silently draining you, and you're paying a price you didn't sign up for. 🔹 Heart rate spikes 🔹 Noise exposure levels 🔹 Energy score drops — all timestamped to real NYC moments This is Part 1 of a larger project. I'll be taking this same biometric rig to other major cities around the world to compare. Paris, Amsterdam, London and more — which city is actually the most draining? Stay tuned.
