Why Subaru Redesigned the EJ-Series Oil Pan

This Subaru DiY video is an in-depth look at upgrading the factory EJ-series OEM oil pan to the redesigned NEW one Subaru introduced in 2004 for the STi and 2006 for the WRX. I compare the old style oil pan to the new one by taking a closer look at the shape and baffling of the pans, and discuss how this impacts the flow of oil, which can lead to spinning a bearing and destroying your engine! This is a critical upgrade everyone should seriously consider! I also walk through all the additional parts needed, provide the part numbers, and dive into an informative online blog that discusses this critical issue.
