A couple hours on Rhodes turned into a quick but unforgettable walk through one of the most impressive medieval fortresses in the world. With just my Meta Ray-Bans, an iPhone 17 Pro, and the tiny DJI NEO drone, I kept things simple this trip — definitely less gear than when I was here last September. Sometimes traveling lighter makes the experience feel even more real. My time in Rhodes ended up being shorter than planned, and the best ferry option turned into the slow island-hopping route through the Dodecanese. Not the fastest way to travel… but sometimes the scenic route is the right one. Because the real destination isn’t just another island — it’s Patmos. After years away, I’m heading back to surprise friends I met long ago who welcomed me like family the first time I arrived.
