ALONE ON PATMOS for Easter… Until I Met Wago 🐾

Easter Day on Patmos, Greece 🇬🇷 My final day on the island turned into something I didn’t plan—but exactly what I needed. Under a bright blue spring sky, I set out from the Monastery area to explore more of Patmos as a solo traveler, starting with the iconic windmills overlooking the island, surrounded by wildflowers and daisies in full bloom. This was also my first real outing with the new DJI Mini 5 Pro drone… and let’s just say, every flight is a learning experience. A little mid-air stress, a lot of relief when it safely returned. From there, I followed a quiet path off the beaten track—hiking over the ridge and down toward one of the most secluded beaches on Patmos. No crowds, no noise… just the Aegean, the sun, and the kind of stillness you only find in the Greek islands during Orthodox Easter season. I thought I’d be completely alone, until a stray dog wandered in and ended up spending the day with me—an unexpected companion on a day that felt simple, peaceful, and full of perspective.
