Pig’s Ear Salad & Octopus🇵🇹 — True Tuga Snack in Lourinhã🐷🐙

Hello Amigas and Amigos in this beautiful day🫡 Today we’re in Lourinhã — a small coastal town north of Lisbon. Most people know it for dinosaurs 🦖, some know it for brandy 🥃… but me? I came here for food. Honestly, this is one of my favorite spots in Portugal🇵🇹 And maybe I'm moving here soon. We’re at Cervejaria Avenida — I was here a year or two ago filming the town, and now I’m back for polvo (octopus) and other tasty treats. Let’s eat, drink, and be a little more Portuguese than usual — today I’ll go with wine instead of beer🍷 On the menu: 🥗 Salada de Orelha — pig’s ear salad. Sounds wild, but trust me. Boiled, sliced, mixed with onions, garlic, vinegar, olive oil, parsley. Crunchy, tangy, fresh — and honestly, if you didn’t know, you’d think it was lulas. Not scary, just surprisingly good. 🐙 Polvo — Portuguese octopus. Slow-boiled, then roasted with garlic, olive oil, and potatoes. Tender, smoky, buttery soft. Bite of octopus, bite of potato soaked in flavor — perfection. Tradition on a plate. 🍮 Dessert — Sweet Portuguese sugar bomb to end on a high note. I ate two, because I can😁 🍷 House Wine — comes in a jug, no label, dangerously smooth. Tastes like juice until it sneaks up on you😂 Forget therapy — in Portugal, a jug of red or white solves everything. ✨ The vibe here is local, lively, modern, but authentic. A place where you feel at home instantly. Thank you, everybody, who hosted me! 👉 Verdict: • Salada de Orelha — chewy, tangy, refreshing. • Polvo — smoky, tender, absolute winner. • Dessert — sweet knockout. • Wine — simple, easy, dangerous. And brandy, wow, I love it😁👍 If you’re ever in Lourinhã — between the dinosaurs, the brandy, and the ocean — don’t miss Cervejaria Avenida. Eat the ears, eat the tentacles, drink the wine.
