Hello Amigas and Amigos in this beautiful day!🫡 Today I’m in Atalaia, just outside Lourinhã, checking out a true local favorite — Restaurante Fonte Nova. It's open for 4 years and this is exactly the spot like I enjoy. Real Portugal🇵🇹 Here’s what went down👇 Started with: 🥣 Sopa de Feijão Verde — Green beans, potatoes, carrots, onions, olive oil… simple ingredients that somehow taste like home. Pure “made with love” energy💚 I paired it with bread, cheese and olives. For the main dish: 🐖🦪 Carne de Porco à Alentejana(from south of Portugal - Alentejo) — tender pork, fresh clams, golden fried potatoes, garlic. It’s one of those perfect “land meets sea” combos that Portugal does best🔥 Salty, juicy, and full of flavor — no wonder locals swear by it. New top 3 dish unlocked. Thank you, Portugal😄 Chefs' compliment: 🐟🍞Açorda com Ovas de Bacalhau — Bread with cod eggs and little chef mastery. I'm usually not a fan of these types of dishes, but, you know what? I appreciated this one. For sweetness: 🍪☕ Bolo de Bolacha (Lotus Edition) — layers of coffee cream and Lotus biscuits. Sweet, creamy, and way too easy to eat. Dessert happiness😋 To wash all down: 🍷Vinho da Casa — smooth, local red that ties everything together beautifully. Overall, Fonte Nova is one of those cool, honest Portuguese spots that reminds you why simple food is often the best, once more.
