Looking for caves in the middle of nowhere, I ended up on a road that got pretty tricky at times. It wasn't easy getting there… but it was totally worth it. I arrived at the Huachichocana caves, one of the oldest archaeological sites in South America, with evidence of human occupation dating back to 7600 BC. Being there makes you think about everything that happened before us. But the trip wasn't just about that. Along the way, I met some guys who invited me to see the house they're building in the middle of this incredible landscape. One of those encounters you don't plan… but that end up being the best part of the trip.
