The WELL PRO WE23 'The Gauntlet' — Did I Make A Huge Mistake?

I'm unboxing the WELL PRO WE23 'The Gauntlet', which is probably one of the weirdest airsoft platforms I've ever bought for the channel. I picked this up to replace my 'pocket Cyclone' model, and there's a very specific reason for that. I made people aware of the issue in the last video, but the main problem with the smaller model is that it simply cannot accept a tracer unit. Having a tracer on your airsoft gear is such a huge advantage, especially for a platform designed for suppression, so I needed to find a solution. This new model seems like it will solve that problem, and I have to say, I really, really like it so far. In this video, I'm taking you through the full unboxing and assembly of 'The Gauntlet'. You'll see my first impressions right out of the box, how all the components fit together, and what the build quality feels like. It's got a good amount of flex, which is actually kind of a good thing for handling and durability on the field. After getting it set up, I loaded it up with some non tracer BBs to get a feel for its operation. I also brought out the old 'pocket Cyclone' to do a direct side-by-side comparison, holding them both and doing a quick test-fire to see how they stack up in terms of size, ergonomics, and sound. The test-firing was interesting. This thing is definitely louder than the smaller model, which is a nice intimidating bonus. I set up a BB tray to catch the stream, but it only caught about 50% of them, which was a bit of a shame but really shows the spread you're working with. The cool thing about this platform is the feeling you get holding it—it's very Terminator-style, and surprisingly comfortable to shoulder. For a price point of around $369, it feels very affordable for what you're getting. I also discuss how this might compare to other support platforms out there like the Buzzsaw, the Juggernaut, or the Thunderclaw in certain scenarios. My main goal is to get a tracer unit on this thing, which I attempt later in the video. I also brainstorm some other potential upgrades, like adding a laser optic or something like a gunpower SMT-24. This kind of setup would be amazing for specific roles, especially if you're playing a Juggernaut-type game.
