Port Angeles (MA 6) King Salmon: Red Hot Chinook Fishing + Tips for Trolling out on the Salt

Every July, I like to escape the heat and smoke in North Idaho and return to the coastal waters of Washington State-where my buddies and I have been fishing together for Ocean-Run Chinook Salmon for years. Chinook, or "King" Salmon, are the pinnacle of sport fishing as far as I am concerned. Nothing beats the thrill of holding on for dear life as your reel screams from the powerful run of a mighty Chinook Salmon! While mooching and jigging can be excellent out here, we prefer to troll using downriggers, flashers, and bait and/or gear. In this video, we'll take you out for an epic day on the water chasing these magnificent fish and share some of the tips and strategies that have helped us out over the years of learning this fishery.
