Why Do We Keep Coming Back to Silver Falls State Park?

Some places never lose their magic. Less than an hour from our home, Silver Falls State Park is one of those places. We've visited many times over the years, yet every trip reminds us why we keep coming back. On this visit, we explored a longer section of the Trail of Ten Falls, enjoying towering waterfalls, lush forest trails, and some of the most beautiful scenery Oregon has to offer. As much as we love the waterfalls, one of my favorite parts is the forest itself. The fresh air, the scent of moss and evergreens, and that unmistakable sweet smell of a lush Pacific Northwest forest never gets old. It's one of my favorite smells in the world and something that always makes me feel refreshed and grateful to be outdoors.
