Another video about the 2014 murder of Dan Markel in Tallahassee, Florida. FSU Law Professor Dan Markel was murdered in July of 2014. It took investigators almost two years to follow the evidence and to identify the suspects. By 2016, there were two suspects who carried out the hit - Luis Rivera and shooter Sigfredo Garcia. Luis was in federal prison on unrelated charges. Investigators determined that the murder was connected to Dan Markel's divorce, and suspected that one or more people in his ex-wife's family ordered the hit. So the FBI, together with the Tallahassee Police Department, conducted an operation - a "Bump" - to get the "roaches" to talk. Since then, Katherine Magbanua and, more recently, Charles Adelson, have been charged. No charges have been filed against Donna Adelson, although she remains a suspect.
