Haitian Chicken in Sauce | How to Make | Poul | Haitian Chicken Recipe Ingredients 3.91 lbs of chicken (cut for curry) 3 limes White distilled vinegar Lime juice Salt Epis (Haitian seasoning) 2 cubes of chicken-flavored bouillon Seasoning salt Adobo seasoning Garlic powder Onion powder Cayenne pepper Vegetable oil (for cooking) 3/4 lbs of potatoes (cut into pieces) 1 carrot (cut into pieces) Tomato paste Parsley Thyme 1 onion (sliced) Bell peppers (any colors you prefer) For Cleaning the Chicken 3.91 lbs of chicken 2 limes 1/2 cup of white distilled vinegar 1/4 cup of lemon or lime juice 1/4 cup of sour orange juice 1 tablespoon of salt Hot water For Seasoning the Chicken 1/2 cup of epis (Best Haitian epis)    • THE BEST HAITIAN EPIS EVER || HOW TO MAKE ...   1 cube of chicken-flavored bouillon (Maggie) 1 teaspoon of seasoning salt 1 teaspoon of adobo seasoning 1 teaspoon of garlic powder 1 teaspoon of onion powder 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper 2 tablespoons of oil Optional 3 to 4 potatoes (cut into chunks) 1 carrot (cut into chunks) Cooking Instructions Step 1: Prepare the Chicken Place a pot on the stove and set the heat to 7/8. Add 1/4 cup of vegetable oil to the pot. Add the chicken (do not add any of the juices from the chicken just yet; save those for later). Step 2: Brown the Chicken Cook the chicken for 10 to 15 minutes, occasionally turning until it develops some color. Reduce the heat to 6 or 7. Step 3: Make the Tomato Mixture In the pot that contained the chicken (with just the juices remaining), add 2 tablespoons of tomato paste and mix well. Step 4: Combine Mixtures Add the tomato paste mixture to the chicken and mix thoroughly. Allow it to cook for about 5 minutes. Step 5: Add Vegetables Add the carrots, potatoes, parsley, and thyme (tied together). Pour in 2 cups of water from the epis bowl, add 1 cube of chicken-flavored bouillon (Maggie), and optionally include 1 bonnet pepper. Let the mixture boil for 20-25 minutes. Step 6: Finish the Dish Add sliced onions and bell peppers (in your desired amounts and colors). Allow it to cook for an additional 3 minutes.
