PENTAKOSTA: BAHASA ROH, ROH KUDUS, ATAU TANDA AKHIR ZAMAN? – Renungan Hari Ini

Friends of GWK, many people associate Pentecost solely with speaking in tongues or certain spiritual experiences. But is that really the essence of Pentecost? Does not speaking in tongues mean that someone has not received the Holy Spirit? And why are the events in the Acts of the Apostles so important for the church today? Interestingly, Pentecost did not begin in Acts. Long before the disciples gathered in the Upper Room, God had already instilled the meaning of Pentecost through the celebration given to Israel. From the liberation at Passover to the giving of the Law on Mount Sinai, God was revealing His plan to form a people who would live according to His will. From the fire on Mount Sinai, to the fire in the Upper Room in Jerusalem, to the promise of the end times, God was weaving a single thread that connects His entire plan of salvation. Pentecost was not simply a spiritual experience, but a sign that the Holy Spirit had been poured out to transform human hearts and prepare the world for the coming of Christ. When the Holy Spirit was poured out on the day of Pentecost, God fulfilled a promise prophesied centuries earlier. The law once written on tablets of stone is now implanted in the hearts of men through the work of the Holy Spirit. This means: Pentecost is not an event. Pentecost is not a denomination. But a sign: that the Messianic age has begun. That the harvest of souls has begun. That the church is being commissioned. Pentecost is not simply about the manifestation of power, but about the transformation of lives that makes people more like Christ. Through God's Word, we will see that the ultimate goal of Pentecost is not simply for believers to possess certain gifts, but for them to be filled with the Holy Spirit, bear the fruit of the Spirit, and be witnesses of Christ until He returns.
