After early retirement in my 50s, I hitched a trailer and came to Alaska. In Seward, instead of a tour, we visited Exit Glacier and encountered the pristine glacier. The road to Homer was the most beautiful road I've ever driven. We experienced a dreamlike moment with seagulls as we drove along the 7km stretch of Homer Spit. Many people enjoyed fishing in Homer, but we simply enjoyed the road and the scenery. It was short, but the road and scenery will remain in our memories for a long time. Our trip isn't glamorous, but by documenting each day, we remember the small but precious moments.
