Burning a Channel into a HEC RAS Terrain with XSs (Cross Sections)

Hydraulic modelers often have to work with digital elevation models (e.g. LiDAR) that does not penetrate the water surface. In these cases modelers have to add channel data. Surveyed cross sections are the most common source of channel data and the most common practice involves "burning" a channel interpolated from these cross sections into the terrain.
