The Taunton - Minehead branch was condemned for closure on 19th March 1970 and subsequently closed to traffic on 2nd January 1971. This super 8 silent film depicts the line in the final year of British Rail operation on the 1315 DMU service from Taunton on Wednesday 27th May 1970. The return fare was 9 shillings (45p)
