Eulogy for the Great Lakes freighter Cuyahoga
This is a eulogy for the Great Lakes freighter Cuyahoga. There are plenty of videos here on YouTube that show her burning and her scrap tow. This video will, as I normally do, show a different depiction of the vessel- her entire history. There will be tid-bits that you never saw before. In fact I found a couple that I didn't know myself while I was digging. The two video clips of her in the distance were shot in haste by me. What I didn't fully realize at that moment was that CUYAHOGA had just done her sea trials that morning after being repaired and was now following LE BELLOT up the Detroit River on the freighter's return to service. My duties aboard the cruise ship, however, called me away as CUYAHOGA passed us (Dang!!) so this was the only video I got.
