An Italian Adriatic train ride with Trenitalia

I got an early boat from Chioggia to be up at Venice's Santa Lucia station in plenty of time for my trip to Trieste. Changes to the schedule on the day I travelled meant I had to pick up my train at Venice Mestre. But that's really easy to do and I was soon heading for Trieste through the beautiful countryside of the Veneto up around the northern tip of the Adriatic. The views of the vineyards on a beautiful day were topped off with a wonderful approach into Trieste with a panorama of the sea below us.
