The project was born from the desire to transform the property into a more welcoming, functional, and personable home, while respecting a well-planned budget. Among the main changes is the integration of the living room, kitchen, and balcony, creating a spacious and fluid space. A section of the living room was converted into a new office for the father, as the daughter used the other suite as a studio. She also received a walk-in closet created from an old "lost coffin" from the original layout. The hallway was also used to install a wardrobe. The project focused on specific colors and striking yet balanced solutions, reflecting the family's style—a mix between conservative and modern. Highlights include the island sofa connecting the living room and balcony, the striking powder room, and the LED profile in the hall, a feature that has become the architect's trademark. The project took approximately two to three months to develop, and the construction lasted approximately six months, including carpentry and countertop installation. Although the couple didn't use the apartment much, as soon as the project was completed they received a job offer and moved to Germany, the project left fond memories. Now, back in Brazil, the family plans to sell the property and start over in a new home, also designed by Carol.
