Supabus, Stripes and Metroliners. The National Express Story Part 3.

Hello. Here's part 3 of the National Express Story. In this episode we look at the arrival of the stripes on the National Express coaches, the impact of the 1982 railway strike and a return to the operation of double decker coaches. We also look at the introduction of the Supabus network which of course became Eurolines. If you remember National Express and Rapide coaches in the 1980's then this is especially for you. I have fond memories of travelling on the West Yorkshire Metroliners from London to Keighley or Bradford. Absolutely stunning coaches. There and then I fell in love! Don't forget to do share your memories in the comments down below. I love reading them, although I may be a bit quiet over the next few days (this video was originally published on Saturday 12th July 2025) as tomorrow - Sunday 13th is the Thanet Vintage Bus Running Day. But I will be back (like Arnie!). If you enjoy this video please like and share it and don't forget to subscribe to my channel so you don't miss my future releases.
