I walked along the Naksan section of the Seoul City Wall. The Naksan section follows part of the old Hanyangdoseong, the Seoul City Wall, offering a place where you can experience traces of old Seoul together with the city’s modern urban landscape. Walking along the dirt paths, stone steps, tree shade, and old neighborhood alleys beside the wall, I could feel the past of Seoul close by. Below the path, the city opened up with tall buildings, roads, and the busy flow of everyday life. One of the most beautiful parts of this walk was the view of Seoul from Naksan. As the path slowly descends along the fortress wall, nature and the city, old stone walls and modern buildings, seem to overlap in a single scene. Although it is located in the heart of Seoul, this place felt like walking through another layer of time.
