【ゆっくり解説】ヘッケラー＆コッホ G11とは？訳わからん仕組みのアサルトライフル

This is an explanatory video about the H&K G11. The G11 was developed at the request of NATO. It was not a product of H&K alone; it was developed jointly with Dynamite Nobel and Zeiss (Hensoldt), with assistance from the West German government. Development began in the late 1960s and was completed around 1990. Upon completion, it was adopted as official West German equipment, but with the end of the Cold War, the plan was scrapped. Europe moved toward disarmament, and with the reunification of East and West Germany, there was no room for mass production of the G11. It ended unfortunate. Because it uses caseless ammunition, it was extremely difficult and time-consuming to put into practical use. Its internal structure is very complex, and mass production would likely be costly. Since it has not actually been used, its true value on the battlefield is unknown.
