President João Lourenço spent twice as much on travel as Angola earned from receiving 92,900 tourists who visited the country. The National Tourism Development Plan (PLANATUR), published this year in the Official Gazette, indicates that tourism in Angola generated US$21 million in 2023. In that same year, according to data compiled by Club-K, João Lourenço traveled to seven countries, costing more than US$44 million.
