34070 Manston, 6880 Betton Grange AND GWR Railcar 22 stole the show at the GWSR!

Whilst the West Somerset Railway Spring Steam Gala was in full swing, I decided that due to due to poor weather down in Somerset, I went up to The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway to see the Great Western Diesel Railcar 22, Great Western Grange class no. 6880 Betton Grange and a visitor to the railway in the form of Bulleid Pacific steam engine no. 34070 Manston. 34070 Manston is visiting the railway on an extended holiday in the Cotswolds. This Saturday was the first working day for Manston on the line. Given that the weather was so much better with mostly sun and occasional cloud, it was a no brainer. Also in action was the Railcar 22 heading to Cheltenham in the morning as well as shuttles between Toddington and Winchcombe. Finally, Betton Grange joined in the fun and the engine continues in fine form at home. Nearly all services were running over 30 minutes late, some even 50 minutes late. However, all three put in a good show and certainly is worth a visit.
