Моторные масла LIQUI MOLY. Кто делает, где делают? Германия или нет? Часть 1 из 2
We're starting a video series about European and pseudo-European oils. Today we're talking about the #LIQUI_MOLY brand. Who makes them? Where are they made? Germany or not? My name is Anton Voronkov, and you're on the MYGTRU channel. In Part One: 1. Are LIQUI MOLY products sold in Europe and Germany? Specifically, how much do they cost, and who buys them? 2. Where, in which country, and at which plant are LIQUI MOLY products manufactured? 3. What exactly is the oil in the packaging with the LIQUI MOLY logo? 4. Is it worth paying the price the dealer in Russia wants for LIQUI MOLY? VIDEO NAVIGATION: 4:48 LIQUI MOLY at the German OBI store 6:20 LIQUI MOLY at the German METRO store 6:59 LIQUI MOLY at major online stores in Germany. 9:27 Gas stations in Germany. 15:02 Dealer car servicing conditions and prices in Germany. 20:43 Small service stations in Germany and post-warranty service. List of gas stations in Germany for 2021. Many offer their own brand of oils (on the sales floor) and oil change stations. #Aral 2300 #Shell 1955 #Total 1157 #Esso 961 #Avia 818 Jet 843 Raiffeisen 713 Orlen (Star) 582 #ENI (Agip) 468 Tamoil/HEM 411 At ARAL-branded gas stations, neither SHELL nor TOTAL will sell the competing brand LM. In general, LIQUI MOLY is far from the leading brand in motor oil sales in Germany. Why is it available everywhere in retail? It's very simple. LIQUI MOLY pursues a fairly aggressive marketing strategy in the consumer segment (PVL) and strives to stock its products in every retail outlet possible. Because that's the brand's entire strategy—to be everywhere. In terms of sales volume in Germany, #Castrol is clearly number one, #Mobil is second, and I think #ARAL is third. To give you the full picture, I'll tell you how oils are selected, purchased, and changed in Germany. After purchasing a new car, all fluid changes are performed only at the dealership assigned to them. The dealer dictates the oil change interval for a new car. For a German, it's important to adhere to the specified change interval, but what the dealer uses isn't particularly important. The oil change interval for a new car is typically one year or 10,000 to 20,000 kilometers, and for new diesel engines and LONG LIFE oils, it can be up to 25,000 kilometers. Even if the service book specifies a 30,000-kilometer change interval for a #LONG_LIFE diesel, the German dealer will come in for a change exactly 30,000 kilometers later. Naturally, as in Russia and throughout the world, dealership service is very expensive. Official dealers charge between sixty and one hundred and fifty euros per change and double the markup on the oil itself. For example, Mobil 5w30 will cost thirty euros per liter, compared to fifteen at a regular service station. And the oil change itself at an authorized dealer costs a staggering one hundred to two hundred euros. So, a single oil change at a dealer costs an average of three hundred euros. What brands do dealers offer? Well, naturally, those for which the car manufacturer has global contracts: Car owners in Germany use what is recommended by the car manufacturers and, accordingly, the dealers of these brands. Of course, the dealer also offers OEM oils and special fluids, but in much smaller quantities. Again, as a rule, ninety-nine percent of these OEM oils and special fluids are made by Shell, Mobil, and Castrol. Of course, the picture is a little different for people with little money or low incomes; naturally, there are those in Germany too. Both older cars and used cars. In this segment, people often save money and count their money. These people almost never go to branded service stations, opting instead for simpler ones, of which there are plenty in the country. Because an oil change at a regular service station is much cheaper than at a branded or dealership-owned one. A liter of 5w30 costs between ten and fifteen euros. The change itself costs twenty-five euros. All in all, on average, about one hundred euros versus three hundred at a dealer. Germans never change their oil after five or seven thousand kilometers, only after ten thousand or more. In the second part, we'll look at: 2. Where, in which country, and at which plant are LIQUI MOLY products manufactured? 3. What exactly is the oil packaged with the LIQUI MOLY logo? 4. Is it worth paying the dealer's asking price for LIQUI MOLY in Russia? Link to part two: • Моторные масла LIQUI MOLY. Кто делает, где...
