The Most Accessible Yet Dramatic Villages in Andalusia | Setenil, Ronda, Grazalema

Ronda, Setenil de las Bodegas & Grazalema: a town perched above a 120-meter gorge, a village where houses are built directly into the cliffs, and the best-preserved white village in Andalusia. This is the quieter, more unique side of southern Spain. 🏔️ We explored Andalusia's famous pueblos blancos, stayed at Spain's very first boutique hotel, and ate some of the most surprising food of our entire trip. In this video, we explore one of the most unique corners of Andalusia: the mountains between Ronda and the white villages. We started in Setenil de las Bodegas, probably the most spectacular white village in Spain, where the houses are built directly into the rock. Then we drove to Ronda, the dramatic clifftop town where we explored the old town, and had one of the most unusual lunches of our trip. We stayed at Molino del Santo, a 19th-century water mill converted into one of Spain's first boutique hotels back in the 80s — a genuinely cozy, homey stay tucked into the hills near Ronda. On day two, we visited Grazalema, the best-preserved white village in Andalusia where we had an incredible lunch built around Queso Payoya, the award-winning goat cheese you can only find in this area.
