I was on a mission to travel across the Pacific, but truthfully, I hadn't really done a lot of research about Micronesia. Each local I asked had different recommendations - diving, snorkeling, hiking, exploring WWII wrecks, but when someone told me about Nan Madol, the “Atlantis of the Pacific,” I was intrigued. And when I looked it up, I was floored!! Micronesia is a world away. Without a doubt, there is a ton to see here and explore. I would never have thought I would discover a lost civilization rivaling that of the Incas and the pharaohs, saw the development of it's modern history, including the dark period of world war two, enjoyed walking it's streets and exploring the markets, embracing the hospitality of it's people, and immersing myself in the jungles and warm waters of this incredible island nation. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi, my name is Hamada.
