Permaculture as a path to peace

Permaculture as a Path to Peace 3PEAS is a project which covers two year long exploration journey of GAIA Kosovo, its international and local partners, volunteers and friends, through which permaculture approach was used as peace creating tool in local and international contexts. It started with Permaculture Design Certificate Course for youth workers in an amazing Recycled Estate in Vukomeric village, what was the initial permaculture dose of inspiration. After that a workshop on social permaculture with great Pippa Buchanan took place, Youth Exchange on urban permaculture in Mitrovica, divided city in Kosovo followed, Permablitz in Bozevce village, Permaschool project organized by PVN Albania, Introduction to permaculture meetings organized by Bugday from Turkey, building of a small community garden in the centre of Sofia by CVS Bulgaria and Multi Kulti Initiative and first EVS in future permaculture project of GAIA. The journey continues... This film, made by friends from Undesignate, gives an insight on this journey and documents our permaculture reach on the path to peace in Spring 2019. More info on: 3pease.design Short Filmic Vignette E x p l o r i n g Permaculture as a Path to Peace The film visually explores and documents the experience of participants, youth, as well as instructors, while in the process of acquiring and sharing contemporary knowledge on permaculture and its integration in addressing current environmental, social and political challenges. The research made through filmed interviews, interactions, conversations, and observations, correspondingly attends to the exploration of permaculture design principles and systems thinking as a tool for peace reconciliation, empowerment of youth, and as a way of life.
