ሓራ ኽትወጽእ እንታይ የድልየካ፧ ሓራ ዝዀነ ሰብ ዝጐድሎ የብሉን

Freedom is often understood as the ability to do whatever we want. But what if that understanding is mistaken? In this conversation, freedom is explored as something deeper than choice, comfort, success, or the absence of restrictions. A person may possess wealth, beauty, knowledge, influence, status, or power and still remain a prisoner. Whenever our peace depends on possessing something, protecting something, or being recognized for something, we become dependent on it. What appears to belong to us gradually begins to own us. We examine how desire can become a form of bondage, how the pursuit of approval can dominate a life, and how even qualities that are generally considered gifts can become chains when they define our identity. Wealth, beauty, knowledge, fame, and power are not condemned. The question is whether we possess them or whether they possess us. The conversation explores the difference between acting freely and merely obeying impulses, cravings, fears, ambitions, resentments, or habits. It asks whether a person who cannot live without something can truly be said to be free. We also discuss examples of individuals who maintained their inner freedom despite extreme circumstances, and why acceptance, forgiveness, presence, and self-mastery have been regarded throughout history as signs of genuine liberation. Freedom, in this sense, is not the ability to get everything we want. It is the ability to remain whole whether we have those things or not.
