Various of protesters singing and marching STORYLINE: Protesters in the outskirts of Johannesburg marched in different parts of their towns on Thursday to rally against immigration and demand jobs from local firms they claim have hired migrants who are in the country illegally. Protesters marching through the South African town included young men carrying traditional fighting sticks, shovels, and women of all ages. Some wore the South African flag and sang liberation songs. Protest leaders, told The Associated Press that some firm owners had told them they would hire South Africans, while others had said they were replacing foreign nationals with South Africans.
