Adrián Zelaia, President of EKAI Group, frames the growing aggressiveness of German policy within a dynamic of survival for economic and financial elites who, faced with Russia's advance and the decline of their global hegemony, feel cornered. Zelaia suggests that these decisions make no sense from a national or defensive perspective, but rather stem from international corporate interests that see the conflict as an existential battle for control of the system.
