The big question is whether the US was behind Ukraine's major attack on Russia or if American intelligence was informed. "I don't think many would dare withhold information from Trump," explained Diego Pitarch, professor of the Master's in International Relations at IEB, noting that Donald Trump is one of those concerned about peace. "Europe isn't interested in the US getting fully involved in Ukraine," another setback for Europe on the road to peace. It's clear that Ukraine alone couldn't have orchestrated the attack, but the UK and France have the capacity to act. Adrián Zelaia, President of EKAI Group, for his part, insisted that the US could be behind the attack, which is completely contradictory to the intentions of US President Donald Trump in previous months. "We shouldn't rule out insubordination within the intelligence services and the military," as happened during his first term in the White House.
