Exercise for Autism: Gabe's Fitness Routine with Coach Aaron

Gabe is a nonspeaking autistic teen who has apraxia. Apraxia is a brain body disconnect that makes it difficult to plan and perform movements or tasks. Gabe has been working out with a trainer Coach Aaron for several months and he loves it! During this session, Gabe was not feeling well, but still gave it his all! In the beginning of the session Aaron worked with Gabe on passing the soccer ball and shooting the ball. Then they played football passing the football back and forth and kicking it! Next up Gabe did several free weight, and other calisthenic exercises! The progress Gabe has made with Aaron is incredible! Before working with Aaron, Gabe had difficulty lying down on his back and he could not do a sit up. Now Coach Aaron has him doing crunches and sit ups. Gabe is not only building a strong relationship and connection with Aaron he is also getting stronger! I can't wait to see Gabe's continued progress!
