Strike Commander Part 1 • Mauritania Mission 1 (Floppy Version)

I think it's time to replay the game that brought PCs to their knees back in 1993 - Strike Commander from Origin. About the game version - this is the floppy release with Speech Pack add-on installed. The one available on GOG is the CD-ROM release that added Tactical Operations and fully voiced cutscenes (the Speech Pack for the floppy version only adds voiced radio comms). I choosed this version as there are already plenty of footage from the CD-ROM release on YT, and the floppy version seems less broken in regards to enemy ability to spoof missiles - they will pop flares like crazy in the latest version, especially with higher DOSBox cycles. For our first mission set in Mauritania, we need to escort C-130 to its destination. 3 Fishbeds will show up to intercept the Hercules, but they are no match for me and Stern in the F-16s.
