In 1992, Sophie took over the charts with “Damn, I Wish I Was Your Lover” and “I Want You” … the Grammy winner released her second album “Whaler” in 1994, hitting the top 10 with her biggest hit “As I Lay Me Down” before making the gutsy decision to walk away from her record company to start her own label. She has since released six total albums, starred as Janis Joplin on stage and is currently writing her memoir and touring through Canada and the US with Paula Cole beginning this summer … in October, she’ll release a new re-recorded version of Whaler called “Whaler- Re-emerging” ….
