Uru Eu Wau Wau - Terra em disputa

In Rondônia, in 2019, timber theft, land grabbing in protected areas, and threats against indigenous leaders are commonplace. The Uru-Eu-Wau-Wau indigenous territory is under constant attack from invaders. With the arrival of Jair Bolsonaro's government, the interests in reducing the indigenous land have become evident. In this documentary, residents of the Uru-Eu-Wau-Wau villages show the most recent invasion hotspots. Rural landowners accused of land grabbing claim they have the support of government agencies to seek new lands. Meanwhile, defenders of the indigenous people indicate that there is an orchestrated action to reduce the territory traditionally occupied by the Uru-Eu-Wau-Wau.
