Meerkat Project; site visit - Kalahari, South Africa
Meerkats living in the Kalahari region are sociable mammals having a structured family, Very inquisitive they are well known for standing straight on their two back feet - this is done to watch out for potential predators when other members of the clan are munching. This visit was done to a project in the South African Kalahari region in 2012 to know about the research going on. Devica Ranade a youngster from Pune, India was part of this research group.
