The best leopard sighting I've ever had in the Kgalagadi! | Episode 2/6

I spend a whole morning cleaning camp, but not before going for my first Kalahari run from Twee Rivieren towards Askham and back. After the camp cleaning session, I go looking for leopards in the Auob River, but without any luck. After my Instagram followers vote for me to go back to the Auob River the following morning, I finally strike gold when I bump into a large leopard rasping in the riverbed early that morning. At first I think it's a male, but later I realise that it's actually a large female, Miera, who I've actually seen before. The following morning, I head over to Kalahari Trails, a meerkat sanctuary about half an hour's drive from the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park main entrance at Twee Rivieren. There I go on a meerkat walk with Mareli van den Berg and the new manager, Gert van Zyl, shows me around the property and tells me about some exciting new developments they've got planned at Kalahari Trails in the coming years.
