Woman Turns Her First Shift at McDonald's into Criminal Charges

On Friday, July 5, 2024 in Bradenton, Florida, McDonald's reported an ex-employee accused of theft was in the restaurant with an unknown male requesting her paycheck. The suspect had been seen on internal cameras taking money from the cash register the previous Sunday, her first day on the job. When an officer arrived on scene, the suspect and male companion left and tried to walk away but the officer parked and stopped them before they could get out of the parking lot. The woman claimed she knew nothing about the allegation, but once back inside the restaurant, the general manager told the officer what had happened. The woman then tried to run.
