쿠잉 (COOING) - REC official MV 🎥

이상은 현실로, 절망은 희망으로, 당신은 영원으로 기록될 이야기. "If the love ends, would the record with that love also stop?" The music video of REC is a story about recordings of someone who is not able to love anymore. The moments to spend together all the time, the smiles to see every day, the trivial to know even not wanting to. And when we cannot have them anymore. We call that the ending. When the love becomes a half moon, the leftover, how can we tell the border of memories and ending looks like? The trowel inside the video is the tool to bury memories and recordings of the love. The doll holding a flower basket indicates the inner self of the woman in the video. She tried to get rid of the sorrow by burying the memories and running away from it. However, her inner self still looks at the memories beyond the border. The flower from the first scene and inside the flower basket is "Matricaria," a type of chrysanthemum. In Korea, we customarily use chrysanthemums as funeral flowers, so they also represent an image of endings. That's why I decided to use it. In the video, it means the time that has been disconnected and would never come again. The blinking red light in the room symbolizes a recording button. While the woman is trying to get rid of everything and to be STAND BY mode, her inner self keeps telling her to record the moments unfolding upon the border. To reminisce memories and not to leave the space where the love was empty, so that is the beginning of another love. The most frequent question from the video was, "Why were the shoelaces untied?" The woman who doesn't know how to tie the shoelaces. The man who always does it for her. It was to indirectly show the absence of love—the being who used to fill small parts of a loved one.
