For the eleventh episode of “Assassin’s Creed: Real History” we begin our journey through the franchise's historical periods by discussing the Third Crusade, a Christian military campaign that served as the setpiece for the first AC game. Topic Choice Despite having already covered this topic in the past, I decided to re-explore the Third Crusade, this time going more in-depth on the events that led up to its beginning. In addition, this will serve as the first in my sub-series that will explore the history behind the time periods covered in each Assassin's Creed game. Disclaimer I am an amateur historian. History is not my official field of study, but rather a passion. This series acts as my hobby and as a way to share with you the real history behind characters, groups, events and locations that are depicted in the Assassin’s Creed video game series.
