Actress Rina Takeda appeared at the production announcement press conference for her first starring role in the drama series "Wakakozake" (BS Japan), which premieres in January 2015, held in Tokyo on October 19th. Filming began on the 5th, starring Wakako, a female office worker who enjoys delicious food and alcohol alone. Takeda reported, "I've already gained 3kg during filming because I'm actually eating and drinking. I feel like I'm getting closer to the Wakako in the original work." She also mentioned some highlights, saying, "There are scenes where I actually blush and get tipsy, so I hope you enjoy those scenes as well." The press conference was held at a popular kappo shop that appears as Wakako's favorite spot, "Araku," and was attended by Nozoe Yoshihiro, who plays the owner of "Araku," and Kamakari Kenta, who plays Araku's employee, Aoyagi. "Wakakozake" is based on a manga by Shinkyu Chiemi that is serialized in the manga magazine "Monthly Comic Zenon" (Tokuma Shoten). The story follows Wakako, a 26-year-old office worker, as she wanders around various places enjoying a drink alone. This is BS Japan's first serial drama (12 episodes in total), and will begin airing on January 8, 2015, every Thursday at 11:30 p.m. It is also scheduled to be broadcast on terrestrial television.
