The walk then takes you steeply up the hillside through the forest before returning back to Aberdulais, South Wales The 5.5-mile walk takes about 2 hours. The hillside path was overgrown and actually blocked so until it is cleared I would avoid the hillside section of the walk and just return along the canal.
