Melincourt Waterfall And Walking The Neath Valley - I Was All Over The Place!
A beautiful “unplanned’ waterfall walk cut short by the Welsh weather. A walk to the Melincourt Waterfall in the Neath Valley near Resolven. It starts with a short walk to the Melincourt waterfall, painted by JMW Turner in 1795. It is usually very quiet and an easy walk but after the recent storms, the path was closed. Unfortunately, due to fallen trees many of the paths were closed. Also, as usual in Wales, the sunny forecast was wrong and it rained quite heavily. But what do you expect, it is Wales. Despite the diversions and rain, it is still worth visiting, especially Melincourt Waterfall which is easily accessible (once they clear the fallen trees). ▸The Walk Map: https://bit.ly/4gIbkvo ▸The Starting Point: Melincourt Car Park 🧭 51°42'14.7"N 3°42'24.4"W 🧭 51.704089, -3.706770 ▸What 3 Words: laminated.computers.builds The walk is about 3 miles 5 km in length and it takes just over an hour.
