Welcome to our new video! The last time, we left you in Finland, ready to cross the Swedish border for our gas cylinders. Well, mission accomplished! We have our gas. But here we are again in Finland, in the heart of the country, in Paltamo. We would like to entrust you with something. Despite our research in Sweden, we did not find the perfect place to settle down. Between the administrative difficulties linked to the purchase of a house in Sweden, and our perhaps imprecise budget calculations, Sweden was not the Eden we imagined. Several unexpected costs, related to life in the Far North, have been added. And then, the commitment to settle in a house in the Far North meant for us to stay there almost all year round, which did not correspond to our desire to travel. In addition, the Swedish "personal number" has become a major obstacle for us. This is an identification number necessary for many administrative procedures in Sweden, and very difficult to obtain if you do not work in the country. We had come to Sweden to travel, not to work. So, even though this decision was difficult, we chose not to settle in Sweden for the moment. Maybe we'll be back in a few years. In the meantime, we are still looking for a place to stay, but that does not prevent us from continuing to travel. Our next destination is the Great East of Finland. We are eager to discover its culture, its fauna, and its flora. Finland is very different from Sweden, and presents new challenges, especially the language.
