In our quest for a home in Sweden, which began on July 1, we embarked on a new and exciting adventure. After about a month and a half of intense research, we decided to take a well-deserved break by leaving for northern Norway. Our exploration of the Barents Sea coast then led us back to Finland, due to a gas concern. It was here, in Finland, that we had our first impressions of the Nordic landscapes. Finland welcomed us with beautifully marked and equipped hiking trails, sparking our enthusiasm. We have opted for a baby carrier for our daughter Sue on our excursions, adapting our approach to paths less favorable to trolleys. The Finnish landscape, with its mountains and pleasant discoveries, was a pleasant surprise. We were blown away by the well-maintained trails and beautiful natural environments that Finland had to offer. Our curiosity drove us to explore churches and cemeteries, where we were able to gain an interesting insight into the local culture. After our explorations, a tea and waffle break was an opportunity to savor the peaceful atmosphere and local flavors. The time has come to return to Sweden, to Lulea, for the rest of our adventures. In sum, Finland not only offered scenic hikes and cultural discoveries, but also left a lasting positive impression. These first impressions filled us with enthusiasm for the rest of our adventures in the far north.
