And we're going to introduce you to an old, radical, expensive, but proven therapy: the Minnesota Method, which originated in the early 1950s and was inspired by Alcoholics Anonymous. In North America, it's a very common approach. It's much less so in Europe. In Switzerland, a clinic has been practicing it for about forty years and attracts addicts from all over the world: the Métairie Clinic in Nyon. The Minnesota program combines abstinence and group therapy. Those who are ill—for that is indeed how they are considered—must accept confronting their demons to recover. Pierre Morath was able to follow their daily lives for several months. Léa, Kévin, and Michel agreed to share their stories candidly. Their are poignant journeys, marked by both pain and courage. Since the end of filming, Kevin hasn't touched a drop of alcohol in nine years. Months later, he reconnected with his wife. As for Léa, she resumed her psychology studies and hopes to become an addiction therapist. Michel, meanwhile, is beginning his seventh year of sobriety. 🔔 Subscribe to the RTS channel and turn on notifications to be alerted when a new video is released! / @radiotelevisionsuisse Download the Play RTS app For Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/de...
