🇬🇲 The (real) Gambia - Ep.9 (we visit 'Weed island' aka Jinack island) 🏝️

Hello folks and welcome back to another episode from The Gambia. In this episode Omar and I leave Senegambia and head to a small (but very interesting) island called Jinack... aka 'Weed Island' 🏝️ Jinack is and island that is half Gambian/half Senegalese. The northern half is Senegalese while the southern half is Gambian. To get here is quite an exciting mission as you will find out if you watch the video but the effort was definitely worth it 🤩 Here on the Gambian side of the island it is deemed legal to grow weed (cannabis), hence its nickname Weed Island. The locals went on to tell me that it's 'illegal' for the police to go over there to stop them or prosecute them for growing the plant.
