Isaac was diagnosed with scoliosis as an infant but never received proper treatment because his doctors were not specialized in scoliosis care. His mother noticed his curve had worsened, his shoulders were looking crooked, and she could tell something was off. She pushed his current doctor to take some X-Rays to see what was going on, and she was devasted when the results came in. At this point, Isaac was a time bomb because of his age and the growth he was soon to experience. When Dr. Tony Nalda first saw him, his curve was at 42 degrees, and right away, he started him on an intensive treatment, crafted a well-designed brace for him, and offered home care recommendations. At first, Isaac was not compliant with the treatment. He didn't wear his brace as often as he should, and due to this, he lost some of the initial progress made with the intensive treatment, and his curve progressed back to 38 degrees.
